Terms & Delivery
If you are a new customer to our site you may create an account during the check out process. This will enable you to save address details for future use and to keep an eye on the progress of your order. For security reasons we never save payment details. Having an account will also enable you to leave comments/reviews on the site.
Changing and cancelling your order:
Unfortunately in most circumstances, it’s not possible to make changes to your order once you’ve placed it. If you’d like to add products to your order, please place a new order for these items.
If for any reason you need to cancel your order, you need to call us on 01629 813573 and have the debit or credit card that you made your purchase with, to hand – If the order has not been dispatched, we can cancel & refund your order to the card you paid on.
Should your parcel be returned to us for any reason (UK delivery ONLY), for example due to a wrong post code or incomplete address, addressee gone away or not called for you, the sender will be liable to pay a re send charge of £3.85. We will notify you of any returns and ask you to contact us with your payment details in order for us to re send the parcel for you with the correct details.
Please note, that you can place 1 order per delivery address. If you would like to place an order for more than one product, to more than one address, please call us on 01629 813573 – a member of staff will be happy to arrange this for you. You will also be charged for delivery for each address. Please note that all of our boxes that are ordered through our website are made to order.
All orders made before 3.00pm are usually dispatched same day, however, our handmade chocolates are made to order & sometimes it is not possible to dispatch orders on the same day. Orders received after 3.00pm are dispatched next day.
Orders for Special Delivery Next Day by Royal Mail must to be made by 3.00pm the day before.
If there is nobody present to receive your delivery, a card will be left for you.
Orders placed with the DPD delivery option must be placed before 12.
All items leave us in perfect condition, Holdsworth Chocolates cannot be held responsible for damage sustained in transit.
Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands are UK.
We cannot post out items to a PO Box or a freepost address.
All your items will be packaged in non- branded outer packaging.
Option 1: Standard Royal Mail first class. Up to 1kg. Takes 2-4 working days.
Option 2: Royal Mail Special Delivery. Up to 1kg. Guaranteed next day by 1pm. (Mon-Thurs).
Cost: £7.50 – Orders to be made by 3.00pm the day before, if you are placing your order on a Friday, you will not receive your parcel until Monday (unless you select the Next Day Saturday delivery option)
Option 3: Next Day Saturday Delivery by 1pm. Orders must be placed before 3pm on Friday for your order to be sent out for next day delivery. Please note, if there is a Bank Holiday (or Christmas closures) and you select this delivery method, your order will not be dispatched until we are back open.
Friday and Weekend Orders
Orders placed on a Friday before 11.00am will arrive as a normal Royal Mail service.
Any orders placed after 11.00am on a Friday and over the weekend will not be dispatched until the Monday, or if a Bank Holiday weekend, then the Tuesday.
Delivery Information Worldwide
Unfortunately, we currently do not ship outside of the UK.
Holdsworth Chocolates will state the factory & shop opening times over the Holiday periods (usually over social media or through a news letter), Christmas is an extremely busy time here at Holdsworth Chocolates, we advise that chocolate orders are placed in advance.
